The motivating forces behind my design process are quality, durability and environmental sustainability. In accordance with my environmental principles, I use mainly indigenous North American wood (maple, cherry, black walnut).

My creative process requires me to be listening and attentive. The patterns in nature offer an endless source of inspiration.  I seek to understand and even feel the nature of each object and visualise it in relation to its future environment.  My goal is to create a symbiosis between the two.  My designs are a quest for the pure line, a fragile but well calculated balance. I rely on the concepts of ergonomics to create products that are as pleasant to use as to look at.  Despite the complexity of the details, the results are simple and elegant.
